Instructions and Templates

Now it’s easier than ever to print your wedding invitations, baby announcements, party invitations and much more with these easy to follow instructions.

Select the picture of the item you need instructions for and scroll down for instructions for your Easy to Print products.

You will need Microsoft Word® 97 or higher (or a program that can open Word® documents) to use these instructions.

Please Note:

If your printer tray has a single guide that moves to the right, these templates and instructions apply. We cannot guarantee that these templates and instructions will work with every printer due to the various types of printers available. If your printer tray has 2 paper guides that move to the center to adjust size, these templates and instructions will not apply. As an alternative, center your text in a normal Word® document.

Reminder:

Once you are finished setting up your text on the template, TEST PRINT on a blank sheet of paper to make sure your text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments at this time.
Once you send your document to print, a message may pop up that reads “The margins of section 1 are set outside of the printable area of the page. Do you want to continue?” Click Yes. Your document will then proceed to print.

PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS

Scroll down to find the stationery template you need

2 up Invitations/Photo Cards – card lies horizontally

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Set the top margin to: .3″
  4. Set the bottom margin to: .3″
  5. Set the right margin to: .3″
  6. Set the left margin to: .3″
  7. Click OK.
  8. Type your text.
  9. Enter down until you are at about 4.5″ on your ruler.
  10. Copy your text from your first card into the next card. (To copy your text, highlight text and under EDIT select COPY. Click on your document at 4.5″ and under EDIT select PASTE).
  11. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  12. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your 2 up invitation.

2-up Invitation – card lies vertically

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the PAPER SIZE tab. Under ORIENTATION, click on LANDSCAPE.
  3. Click on the MARGINS tab.
  4. Set the top margin to: .3″
  5. Set the bottom margin to: .3″
  6. Set the right margin to: .3″
  7. Set the left margin to: .3″
    NOTE: If the printing area of the 2up invitation has a border, be sure to include that in your above margin measurements.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Under FORMAT, click on COLUMNS.
  10. Under PRESETS click on TWO columns.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Type your text in the first column, return down until you are at the top of the next column.
  13. Copy your text from your first column into the next column. (To copy your text, highlight selected text and under EDIT select COPY. Click your next column and under EDIT select PASTE).
  14. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  15. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your 2 up invitation.

3 up Photo Cards/Gift Certificates

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Set the top margin to: .3″
  4. Set the bottom margin to: .3″
  5. Set the right margin to: .3″
  6. Set the left margin to: .3″
    NOTE: If the printing area of the 3up has a border you will need to measure that and include that in your above margin measurements.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Type your text.
  9. Enter down until you are at about 3.5″ on your ruler.
  10. Copy your text from your first card into the next. (To copy your text, highlight text and under EDIT select COPY. Click on your document at 3.5″ and under EDIT select PASTE).
  11. Enter down until you are at about 7.25″
  12. Repeat set number 11.
  13. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  14. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your 3 up Photo Paper/Gift Certificate.

Address Labels

– Avery 5160 – address can be used to enter your text for address labels.
Please note: The Fish address label is only laser and copier compatible.
It is not recommended for use with ink jet printers.

  1. Click on TOOLS.
  2. Click on ENVELOPES & LABELS.
  3. Click on the LABELS tab.
  4. Click on the OPTIONS button.
  5. Under PRODUCT NUMBER, click on 5160 – ADDRESS.
  6. Click on OK.
  7. Click on NEW DOCUMENT.
  8. Enter text.
  9. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  10. Once you are satisfied with layout, print on your address labels.

Tri-fold Brochures/Programs

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In the PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Set top & bottom margin at 1″
  4. Set right & left margin at 0″
  5. Click on the PAPER SIZE tab.
  6. Under ORIENTATION, click on LANDSCAPE.
  7. Click OK.
  8. A screen might pop up in regards to the margins being set outside the area of the page. If this happens, click on ignore.
  9. Click on FORMAT, then COLUMNS.
  10. In COLUMNS, under PRESETS click on 3 COLUMNS.
  11. Under the WIDTH & SPACING set all three column widths to 3.5″ & set spacing to .25″ between columns.
  12. Click OK.
  13. Type your text in the first column. Return down until you are at the top of the next column. Type in your text for the second column. Return down until you are at the top of the next column, type in your text.
  14. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time. Some adjustments might need to be made depending on the design you have purchased, font size, & the text you have entered.
  15. Once you are satisfied with layout, print on your brochure/program.
  16. Save this file as the front or the back of the brochure/program, depending on the text you have typed in.
  17. Change your text to print the other side of the brochure/program.
  18. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  19. Save this file as the second side of the brochure/program for future use.
  20. Once you are satisfied with layout, print on your brochure/program.

Business Cards

Avery 5371 – Business Cards can be used to enter your text for business cards.

  1. Click on TOOLS.
  2. Click on ENVELOPES & LABELS.
  3. Click on the LABELS tab.
  4. Click on the OPTIONS button.
  5. Under PRODUCT NUMBER, click on 5371 – BUSINESS CARD.
  6. Click on OK.
  7. Click on NEW DOCUMENT.
  8. Enter text.
  9. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  10. Once you are satisfied with layout, print on your business cards.

Bulletins / 1-up Invitations

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In the PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Set the top margin to: .3″
  4. Set the bottom margin to: .3″
  5. Set the right margin to: .3″
  6. Set the left margin to: 5.8″
  7. Click on the PAPER SIZE tab. Under ORIENTATION click on LANDSCAPE.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Type in your text.
  10. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  11. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your bulletin / 1-up Invitation.

Certificates

  1. With a ruler, measure from the edge of the 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper to your printing area.
    NOTE: If the design has a border be sure to include that in your measurement.
  2. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  3. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  4. Set the measurements according to what you measured in step #1.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Type in your text.
  7. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  8. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your certificate.

5.5 x 7.75 Flat Card / Invitation

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Place your flat card that you are going to print on, on top of and in the upper left hand corner of an 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper. This will be used as a guide for measuring purposes for your margins.
  4. With a ruler measure from the bottom edge of the 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper to the bottom of your printing area on the flat card. This would be your BOTTOM measurement.
  5. With a ruler measure from the right edge of the 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper to the right side of your printing area on the flat card. This would be your RIGHT margin.
  6. The TOP and LEFT margin will be 0″ or the width of your border.
    NOTE: If the design has a border be sure to include that in your bottom and right margin measurement.
    NOTE: If you set your margin at 0″ a screen might pop up in regards to the margins being set outside the area of the page. If this happens, click on ignore.
    NOTE: In PAGE SETUP, a picture of what your setup will look like is in the PREVIEW window.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Type in your text.
  9. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  10. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your flat card/invitation.

Fold-over Card

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Place your fold-over card that you are going to print on, on top of and in the upper left hand corner of an 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper.
  4. With a ruler measure from the edge of the 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper to the bottom of your printing area on the fold-over card. This would be your BOTTOM measurement.
  5. With a ruler measure from the edge of the 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper to the right side of your printing area on the fold-over card. This would be your RIGHT margin.
  6. The TOP and LEFT your margin will be 0″ or or the width of your border.
    NOTE: If the design has a border be sure to include that in your bottom and right margin measurement.
    NOTE: If you set your margin at 0″ a screen might pop up in regards to the margins being set outside the area of the page, if this happens, click on ignore.
    NOTE: In PAGE SETUP, in the PREVIEW window there is a picture of what your setup will look like.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Type in your text.
  9. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.

Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your fold-over card.

Letterhead/Border

  1. With a ruler, measure from the edge of the 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper to your printing area.
    NOTE: If the design has a border be sure to include that in your measurement.
  2. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  3. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  4. Set the measurements according to what you measured in step #1.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Type in your text.
  7. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  8. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your letterhead/border paper.

Note Cards or RSVP Cards

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In page setup, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Set the top margin to: 4.25″
  4. Set the bottom margin to: .3″
  5. Set the right margin to: .3″
  6. Set the left margin to: .3″
    NOTE: If the printing area of the note card has a border you will need to measure that and include it in your above margin measurements. Example: If the note card has a .5″ border, then you would need to add .5″ to each (top, bottom, left and right) margin setting.
  7. Also in PAGE SETUP, click on the PAPER SIZE tab. Under ORIENTATION, click on LANDSCAPE.
  8. Click on OK.
  9. Under FORMAT, click on COLUMNS.
  10. Under PRESETS, click on TWO columns.
  11. Still under PRESETS, under WIDTH AND SPACING,
    Format the SPACING to .6″. Measure the border width on your note card and multiply the width by two (2). Add this number to .6″. EXAMPLE: If the border width is .5″ then .5″ x 2 + 6 = 1.6″. 1.6″ is then what the SPACING should be set at, for this example.
  12. Click OK.
  13. Type in your text.
  14. Copy and paste your text directly below the original text you typed.
  15. With the ENTER KEY, push the second set of text down until it is in exactly the same location in the second column, as it is in the first column. (Because typestyles and sizes vary, you may need to adjust the copy vertically by hitting the ENTER KEY.)
  16. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  17. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your note card.NOTE: You may have to adjust margins for asymmetrically designed cards.

Overlay for Flat Card  

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Set the top margin to: 1.25″
  4. Set the bottom margin to: 4″
  5. Set the right margin to: 3.5″
  6. Set the left margin to: 0″
  7. Click OK.
  8. A screen might pop up in regards to the margins being set outside the area of the page. If this happens, click on ignore.
  9. Type in your text.
  10. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  11. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your overlay.

Photo Greeting Card/Laser Card

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Set the top margin to: 6.5″
  4. Set the bottom margin to: .5″
  5. Set the right margin to: .5″
  6. Set the left margin to: .5″
  7. Click OK.
  8. Type in your text.
  9. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  10. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your photo greeting/laser card.

Place Cards

* For copy on one side of place cards

  1. In the FILE menu, select PAGE SETUP
  2. In the PAGE SETUP window, click the PAPER SIZE tab and under ORIENTATION, select LANDSCAPE. To set all margins to zero, click the MARGINS tab & set all margins to zero. Click OK. A screen will pop up in regards to the margins being outside of the page, click on IGNORE.
  3. In the FILE menu, select PRINT, OPTIONS change default tray to manual feed.
  4. Prepare layout.
    • Type 1st name 1″ from left edge and 3 ½” from top.
    • Type 2nd name 1″ to the right of the end of the 1st name and 3 ½” from the top.
    • Type 3rd name 1″ to the right of the end of the 2nd name and 3 ½” from the top.
    • Type 1st name in second row, 4″ below 1st name in first row)
    • Type 2nd name 1″ to the right of the end of the 1st name
    • Type 3rd name 1″ to the right of the end of the 2nd name
    • Select font type & size. The larger font sizes will center the copy better.
      Depending on font size & length of copy, adjustments will need to be made.
    • First row of three names (copy will be printed in second row)
    • Second row of three names (copy will be printed in fourth row)
  5. Print the layout using blank paper.
  6. Place the place card sheet on top of the sheet you just printed to make sure that everything is correct. You might need to make adjustments before you are ready to print on the place cards.
  7. Once you are satisfied with your layout, you are ready to print on the place cards.
  8. Check your printer “PROPERTIES” before printing. Your printer must be set to “LANDSCAPE”.
  9. To print on the place card, insert the end of the sheet with no copy into the printer first.
  10. Start printing! Save this document if you want to print more place cards or you want to print on both sides of the place card.

* For copy on both sides of place cards

  1. Use the same document as above.
  2. The copy for the top section will be laid out reverse of the bottom copy.
  3. The 2nd & 4th rows on the template are labeled 1a-6a.
  4. Place the copy from 1a into 6a, 2a into 5a, 3a into 4a, 5a into 2a and 6a into 1a. Or turn your printed piece upside down & use it as a reference to layout rows 1 and 3. Print the layout, using blank paper.
  5. Place the place card sheet on top of the sheet you just printed to make sue that everything is correct. You might need to make adjustments depending on the size of the font and the length of the copy before you are ready to print on the place cards.
  6. Once you are satisfied with your layout, you are ready to print on the place cards.
  7. To print on the place card, insert the end of the sheet with copy into the printer first.
  8. Start printing! Save this document if you are going to print several place cards.
  9. These are general guidelines, parameters will change depending on what font size you use & length of the copy.

Post Card

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP
  2. In the PAGE SETUP, click on MARGINS tab
  3. Set top & bottom margins to: .4″
  4. Set right, & left margins to: .5″
  5. Click on the PAPER SIZE tab. Under ORIENTATION, click on LANDSCAPE.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click on TABLE, then INSERT TABLE.
  8. Number of columns set at 3
  9. Number of rows set at 3
  10. Click OK.
  11. Highlight the 3 rows (put your curser in the first row and pull it across so that you are in the opposite corner).
  12. For versions of Word 5.0/6.0 follow #14-39
  13. For version 2000 of Word follow #40-61
  14. Click on Table, click on CELL HEIGHT & WIDTH.
  15. Click on ROW tab.
  16. Height of rows 1-3 click on arrow, click on EXACTLY.
  17. Click on NEXT ROW button.
  18. Over to the right side are 2 boxes, highlight the top box “At:”
  19. Height of row 1: enter 3.5″ or 252 pt.
  20. Click on NEXT ROW button
  21. Height of row 2: enter .5″ or 36 pt.
  22. Click on NEXT ROW button
  23. Height of row 3: enter 3.5″ or 252 pt.
  24. Click on NEXT ROW button
  25. Click OK
  26. Highlight the 3 columns
  27. Under TABLE, click on CELL HEIGHT & WIDTH.
  28. Click on COLUMN tab.
  29. Click on NEXT COLUMN button
  30. Width of column 1: enter 4.5″
  31. Space between columns: enter 0″
  32. Click on NEXT COLUMN
  33. Width of column 2: enter 1″
  34. Space between columns: enter 0″
  35. Click on NEXT COLUMN
  36. Width of column 3: enter 4.5″
  37. Space between columns: enter 0″
  38. Click OK.
  39. To hide the table lines, highlight your table, right click on your mouse, click on BORDERS & SHADING, click on BORDERS tab, under SETTING, click on NONE, click on OK (Jump to #63)
  40. Under TABLE click on TABLE PROPERTIES.
  41. Click on ROW tab.
  42. Under SIZE Click on SPECIFY HEIGHT and enter in 3.5″
  43. In the ROW HEIGHT IS, click on the arrow and check EXACTLY.
  44. Under OPTIONS click on ALLOW ROW TO BREAK ACROSS PAGES (so there is no check on this option).
  45. Click on the NEXT ROW button
  46. Row 1: SPECIFY HEIGHT: enter 3.5″
  47. Click on the NEXT ROW button
  48. Row 2: SPECIFY HEIGHT: enter .5″
  49. Click on the NEXT ROW button
  50. Row 3: SPECIFY HEIGHT: enter 3.5″
  51. Click on the COLUMN tab
  52. Click on NEXT COLUMN
  53. Width of column 1: enter 4.5″
  54. Click on NEXT COLUMN
  55. Width of column 2: enter 1″
  56. Click on NEXT COLUMN
  57. Width of column 3: enter 4.5″
  58. Click on the TABLE tab
  59. Click on BORDERS & SHADING.
  60. Under the SETTING click the box with NONE.
    NOTE: if you would like to center text or wrap your text, you are able to do that in the TABLE tab and the CELL tab.
  61. Click OK.
  62. Enter copy in the 1st box, copy & paste into the other 3 boxes.
  63. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
    * If your template doesn’t fit on one page, make sure your margins are set correctly.
  64. Once you are satisfied with layout, print on your post card.

Tri-fold Invitations – Horizontal

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In the PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Set left margin to: 2.5″
  4. Set right margin to: 3.75″
  5. Set top & bottom margin to: .25″
  6. Click the PAPER SIZE tab. Under ORIENTATION click on LANDSCAPE
  7. Click OK.
  8. A screen might pop up in regard to the margins being set outside the area of the page. If this happens, click on ignore.
  9. Type in your text.
  10. Once you have finished typing your text, return down until you are at 4.5″ on your side margin.
  11. Copy the text from above (To copy your text, highlight selected text and under EDIT select COPY. Click your next column and under EDIT select PASTE).
  12. Paste the text at the 4.5″ point.
  13. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.

Once you are satisfied with your layout, you are ready to print on the tri-fold invitation.

Tri-fold Invitations – Vertical

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In the PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab
  3. Set top margin to: 2.5″
  4. Set bottom margin to: 3.75″
  5. Set left & right margin to: .25″
  6. Click OK.
  7. A screen might pop up in regard to the margins being set outside the area of the page. If this happens, click on ignore.
  8. Next you will need to setup two columns to enter your text.
  9. To set up the columns click on FORMAT, then COLUMNS.
  10. In COLUMNS, under PRESETS click on 2 COLUMNS.
  11. Under the WIDTH & SPACING set column widths to 3.75″ & set spacing to .5″
  12. Type your text in column 1.
  13. Once you are finished typing your text, return down until you reach the top of the 2nd column.
  14. Copy the text in the 1st column.
  15. Paste the text in the 2nd column.
  16. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  17. Once you are satisfied with your layout, you are ready to print on the Tri-fold brochure.

Tear-Off Certificate

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. With a ruler measure the bottom border this will be the measurement for the BOTTOM margin. If the design does not have a border your measurement will be 0″.
  4. With a ruler measure the right border this will be the measurement for the RIGHT margin. If the design does not have a border your measurement will be 0″.
  5. The TOP and LEFT margin will be the width of your border or 0″ if the design does not have a border.
  6. Note: In PAGE SETUP, a picture of what your setup will look like is in the PREVIEW window.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Type in your text.
  9. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
    Note: You will have to keep an eye on your text to make sure it doesn’t print over the border around the tear-off certificate.
  10. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your tear-off certificate.

Gate Fold Invitation Insert – Horizontal

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Set the top margin to: .321″
  4. Set the bottom margin to: 6.25″
  5. Set the left margin to: .321″
  6. Set the right margin to: 1.812″
    Note: In PAGE SETUP, a preview of what your setup will be is in the PREVIEW window.
  7. Click OK 
  8. Type in your text.
  9. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly.
  10. Make any adjustments to text at this time.

Gate Fold Invitation Insert – Vertical

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Set the top margin to: .25″
  4. Set the bottom margin to: 4.25″
  5. Set the left margin to: .25″
  6. Set the right margin to: 3.75″

  7. Click OK.
  8. Type in your text.
  9. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  10. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your Gate Fold nsert.

4.875 x 7 Note Card or Invitation

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Set the top margin to: 4.0″
  4. Set the bottom margin to: 4.5″
  5. Set the left margin to: .5″
  6. Set the right margin to: 4.125″

  7. Click OK.
  8. Type in your text.
  9. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
  10. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your note card.

5.375×10.75 Imprintable Insert Card

  1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
  2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
  3. Set the top margin to: 3.25”
  4. Set the bottom margin to: 4”
  5. Set the left margin to: .5”
  6. Set the right margin to: .5”
    Note: In PAGE SETUP, a picture of what your setup will look like is in the PREVIEW window.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Type in your text.
  9. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time. Some adjustments might need to be made depending on the design you have purchased, font size, & the text you have entered.

Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your Double-sided Letterhead

Slim Invitation or  Bulletin

    1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
    2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
    3. With a ruler measure from the bottom edge of the bulletin to just inside the border. Add .25” to this measurement. This would be your BOTTOM margin.
      Note: If the bulletin does not have a border set your margin to .25”.
    4. With a ruler measure from the right edge of the bulletin to just inside the border. Add .25” to this measurement. This would be your RIGHT margin.
      Note: If the bulletin does not have a border set your margin to .25”.
    5. With a ruler measure from the top edge of the bulletin to just inside the border (If you are printing on Silver Double Hearts, do not include the hearts as part of the border). Add .25” to this measurement. This would be your TOP margin.
      Note: If the bulletin does not have a border set your margin to .25”.
    6. For the LEFT margin, use the same measurement as the right margin.
      Note: In PAGE SETUP, a picture of what your setup will look like is in the PREVIEW window.
    7. ClickOK.
    8. Under FORMAT click on COLUMNS, under presets, click TWO.
    9. Under WIDTH & SPACING, make sure the spacing measurement is double the measurement of the RIGHT (or LEFT) margin. EXAMPLE: If your left margin is .25”, your spacing measurement should be .50”.
    10. Click OK.
    11. Type in your text for the back panel of the bulletin in the first column. Once you are finished, place your cursor at the end of the text in column 1 and press ENTER/RETURN until you are in column 2. Then type in your text for the front of the bulletin.

    Slim Invitation – printing on overlay

    1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
    2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
    3. Place the overlay that you are going to print on, on top of and in the upper left hand corner of an 8.5” x 11” piece of paper.
    4. With a ruler measure from the bottom edge of the 8.5” x 11” piece of paper to the bottom edge of your overlay & add .25” to the measurement. This would be your BOTTOM margin.
    5. With a ruler measure from the right edge of the 8.5” x 11” piece of paper to the right side of your overlay & add .25” to the measurement. This would be your RIGHT margin
    6. With a ruler measure from the top edge of the 8.5” x 11” piece of paper to just below the holes for the ribbon on the overlay & add .25” to the measurement. This would be your TOP margin.
    7. The LEFT margin will be .25”
      Note: In PAGE SETUP, a picture of what your setup will look like is in the PREVIEW window.
    8. Click OK.
    9. Type in your text.
    10. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with designed product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
    11. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your overlay and then assemble your invitations.

    Double-Sided Letterhead (Front)

    1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
    2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
    3. With a ruler measure the top border, this will be the measurement for the TOP margin. If the design does not have a border your measurement will be .25”.
    4. With a ruler measure the left border, this will be the measurement for the LEFT margin. If the design does not have a border your measurement will be .25”.
    5. With a ruler measure the bottom border, this will be the measurement for the BOTTOM margin. If the design does not have a border your measurement will be .25”.
    6. With a ruler measure the right border, this will be the measurement for the RIGHT margin. If the design does not have a border your measurement will be .25”.

    7. Click OK.
    8. Type in your text.
    9. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time. Some adjustments might need to be made depending on the design you have purchased, font size, & the text you have entered.
    10. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your Double-sided Letterhead.

    Double-Sided Letterhead (Back – Address Information)

    1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
    2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the MARGINS tab.
    3. Set the top margin to: 3.25”
    4. Set the bottom margin to: 4”
    5. Set the left margin to: .5”
    6. Set the right margin to: .5”
      Note: In PAGE SETUP, a picture of what your setup will look like is in the PREVIEW window.
    7. Click OK.
    8. Type in your text.
    9. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time. Some adjustments might need to be made depending on the design you have purchased, font size, & the text you have entered.
    10. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your Double-sided Letterhead.

    2-up Postcards / Save the Date Cards

    (use these instructions if you have a custom size in your page setup screen, paper tab section – scroll down if you do not).

    1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
    2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the PAPER tab.
    3. Under PAPER SIZE, click on CUSTOM
    4. Set the WIDTH to: 5.5″
    5. Set the HEIGHT to: 8.5″
    6. Click on MARGINS tab
    7. To determine the size of your margins:
      TOP MARGIN: measure from the top of the postcard to just below the design element
      BOTTOM MARGIN: set your margin to at least 0.25”
      LEFT MARGIN:set your margin to at least 0.25”
      RIGHT MARGIN: set your margin to at least 0.25”
    8. Click OK.
    9. Type your text.
    10. Enter down until you are at about ¾ of the way down on the paper, if the design has a top border; be sure to account for that on the bottom postcard.
    11. Copy your text from the top card onto the bottom card. (To copy and paste your text, highlight text and under EDIT select COPY. Under EDIT select PASTE).
    12. Test print on a blank sheet of paper and compare with design product to make sure that text lines up correctly. Make any adjustments to text at this time.
    13. Once you are satisfied with your layout, print on your 2-up Postcard / Save the Date Card.

    2-up Postcards / Save the Date Cards Landscape

    1. Click on FILE, then PAGE SETUP.
    2. In PAGE SETUP, click on the PAPER tab.
    3. Under PAPER SIZE, click on LETTER
    4. Click on MARGINS tab
    5. Under ORIENTATION, click on LANDSCAPE.
    6. To determine the size of your margins for your print area, place your 2-up postcard flush up against the left side of a landscape (horizontal) 8.5”x11” piece of paper. With a ruler, measure the distance between the edge of the 8.5”x11” piece of paper and your print area on your 2-up post card.
      TOP MARGIN: measure from the top of the 8.5”x11” paper to just below the design element
      BOTTOM MARGIN: set your margin to at least 0.25”
      LEFT MARGIN: set your margin to at least 0.25”
      RIGHT MARGIN: set your margin to 5.5” plus the measurement of your LEFT MARGIN.
    7. Click OK.
    8. Type your text.
    9. Enter down until you are at about ¾ of the way down on the paper, if the design has a top border; be sure to account for that on the bottom postcard.
    10. Copy your text from the top card onto the bottom card. (To copy and paste your text, highlight text and under EDIT select COPY. Under EDIT select PASTE).
